Our first obstacle had appeared. How do we go about getting our products to the end users? After giving this much thought, we discovered that there are about fifteen different produce houses in the city of Houston. These produce companies make daily deliveries of fresh produce to all feeding establishments.

After pursuing this further, we found that all produce houses were looking for something extra to deliver to their customers. Salads could be that source! These local produce distributors were looking for a product line that could give them a nice profit, increased check averages, and an item that the major food service houses did not carry. Our first line of distribution had been established!

Shortly after that, we gained distribution through medium-sized, locally-owned food service houses and our sales began to increase dramatically. Brokers were added in Dallas, San Antonio, Shreveport, and Oklahoma. Through their efforts, we began to sell to some national and local chain accounts. This included operators such as fast food fried chicken, steak houses, coffee shops, sandwich shops and supermarket deli's.

We continue to add many different varieties of salads and currently offer over forty different products. Some salads we have developed are regional in nature such as Texas Caviar, Blackeyed-Pea Salad, Mexicali Corn with Jalapenos, and Chocolate Chip Mousse.
